Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration! Thomas Edison
Posted by: | Comments
Credit is due to Thomas A Edison for the above quote. Here’s
four more of my other favourite quotes from the great man…
1. I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t
work.
2. Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business.
Always America has emerged from these stronger and more
prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith!
Go forward!
3. Hell, there are no rules here – we’re trying to accomplish
something.
4. I never did anything by accident, nor did any of my
inventions come by accident; they came by work.
Positve Thinking cartoon – I Believe I CAN FLY!
Posted by: | CommentsBelief in success is the one basic, absolutely essential ingredient
in successful people.”
Believing something can be done sets the mind in motion to find
a way to do it.
“Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done,
really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a
solution paves the way to solution.

Maybe the guy in the cartoon above doesn’t need a parachute after all!?
A burning desire can overcome all objections and obstacles!
Posted by: | CommentsToday we look at ‘OBSTACLES’ that get in the way of your success. Here’s a few of my favourite quotes:
Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal. Henry Ford
Press on. Obstacles are seldom the same size tomorrow as they are today. Robert H. Schuller
The obstacles you face are… mental barriers which can be broken by adopting a more positive approach. Clarence Blasier
An excuse becomes an obstacle in your journey to success when it is made in place of your best effort or when it is used as the object of the blame.
Bo Bennett
A lot of people give up just before they’re about to make it. You know you never know when that next obstacle is going to be the last one.
Chuck Norris
Fear is your greatest obstacle – so question your fear. If it does not serve your greatest life then do not make it your master.
Joy Page
I don’t really think in terms of obstacles. My biggest obstacle is always myself.
Steve Earle
Nothing is an obstacle unless you say it is.

Get Well – You Will IF YOU Repeat These Affirmations!
Posted by: | CommentsGet Well – You Will IF YOU Repeat These Affirmations!
A client recently asked me for a GET WELL card design – something that would actually help if you believed in it strongly enough!
Here’s the design I came up with…

Don’t you think this would help you Get Well Soon as opposed to telling yourself every five minutes how bad you feel!?
Time Thieves – Switch The TV off for a bit!
Posted by: | CommentsTIME THIEVES – they’re all around us…whether it’s getting distracted while working on your computer and going off and look at some shopping web site…for others it’s our mobile phone/cellphone but the biggest Time Thieve of all is the TV! It’s so easy to flop into the armchair and say I deserve a rest and go through every channel looking for something to occupy your mind. Where as you could be educating yourself or launching your dream product/web site/iPhone app.
I have to admit I’ve succumbed to sitting in front of the TV at the end of the day – and only just realised what a load of crap is on there. So from now I’m going to make an effort to get outside – especially now the nights are getting lighter here in the UK.
It was fairly difficult finding some ‘Time Thieves’ quotes but I got a few…
Friends are thieves of time. ~ Francis Bacon
“Procastination is the thief of time.” ~ Joseph Heller
“He was always late on principle, his principle being that punctuality is the thief of time.” ~ Oscar Wilde
Optimist Or Pessimist? Is The Glass Half Full or Half Empty!?
Posted by: | Comments“Some people think of the glass as half full. Some people think of the glass as half empty. I think of the glass as too big.” ~ George Carlin quotes
“Is the glass half full, or half empty?
It depends on whether you’re pouring, or drinking.” ~ Bill Cosby
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
- Winston Churchill
“Between the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll. The optimist sees the doughnut; the pessimist the hole!”
-Oscar Wilde
“Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute.”
-G. B. Stern

(Sorry no prizes this time – but who knows, if there’s enough response maybe next time!) By the time you’ve found them all you’ll have got the message in the cartoons – which is…NEVER BE TOO BUSY AS NOT TO LISTEN! Wouldn’t this be a good idea if you wanted to get a message across in your workplace!?
