In my thirty years as a freelance cartoonist I’ve had my fair share of overcoming obstacles, setbacks and disappointments and I’m sure there will be lots more before I hang up my pencils. The trick is to take it in your stride and bounce back when you’ve been knocked for six – for when you say you’ve had enough and you quit you’re finished. Leaving the way open for someone else to take your place and maybe the prize!

So the message here is – DON’T let obstacles get in your way of success!
