Double Your Rate Of Failure To Succeed!
Posted by: | CommentsIt's really that simple – to succeed you need to fail more!
"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that?s where you will find success."
- Thomas J. Watson
‘Be flexible…If you’re stuck, change position.’
Posted by: | Comments‘Helping You To Smile Your Way To Success!’
‘Be flexible. If you’re stuck, change position.’ Lighten up. Loosen the tight grip you have on your life. Allow yourself to go with the flow at times. The tendency for us, particularly as we get older, is to become stiff and rigid in our ways. However, in order to gain the benefit of every experience, start imagining that you are a rubber ball. That way, you will always, always bounce back. Hit a brick wall? You will rebound. Hit a roadblock and you will find another way. Hit a valley and your next address will be a mountaintop. Living in a state of uncontrollable control is the safest way to live in this changing world. You will be supple in the hands of storms and grow stronger in the path of disaster: unafraid of change, undeterred by an uncertain, yet bright future. (Peter Sinclair 2003)
Are YOU On The Right Track To Success!?
Posted by: | Comments
Many times we simply lose sight of our goals.(Don’t let it happen!) That’s why it’s so important to be clear on yours and to keep them in front of you. Write them down and post them where you will see them-often. Put them on your mirror for when you’re brushing your teeth. Put them on Post-It notes on your computer screen or on a screensaver and even on little business sized cards in your wallet or purse.
I recommend having your top three goals specifically defined, measurable, action-oriented , realistic and timely deadline.

Cartoon – Don't do a good job, do a GREAT job!
Posted by: | CommentsAsk yourself – Am I consistent?
Ask yourself – Am I doing a GREAT job?
Ask yourself – Am I doing more than expected?
Ask yourself – Am I providing my employer with excellence rather than mediocrity?
If you can answer a positive YES to all the above your life will translate into EXCELLENCE!!!
“11 Reasons Why You Will Never Succeed” By Gary Vurnum PART 11
Posted by: | CommentsREASON # 11 – You have something that you have
always wanted to do, but never got around to doing
it. And you know you never will.

I always wanted to do what I am doing now…I just didn’t
realise it.
Now I am fulfilling my dream, against all the odds. Many
people I know wish that they could do this…or do that…
but they always somehow find an excuse why they can’t.
Everybody has an interest, hobby, or skill that they could
happily get lost in for a few hours. If you think that you
may not…you are probably not thinking hard enough!
The key to finding out what it is you really love to do is
to ask yourself this question -
“What thing would you happily pay to be able to do?”
If “watch TV” is the answer…you’ll have to try harder!
Sometimes…you may not even realise that you are doing it.
For example…I have a good friend of mine who is a good
talker…he could strike up a conversation with a passer-by
within 2 seconds of meeting them. It’s a talent that comes
naturally to him.
To me…he’s an ideal
- Network marketer
- Salesman
- Real estate agent
Or any number of occupations where “relationshipping” is the
key to getting on and being successful.
If he worked in one of those fields…I am sure that he
would be a success. Instead…he just ‘treads water’ in a
job that pays him well but he gets nothing from it.
All he needs is a job where he gets paid to talk!
Look into how you might be able to make a living from your
talent. Someone, somewhere must make money doing something
similar to what you like to do.
Make sure that if you really want to do something, turn the
‘but’ into a ‘how’ and go for it!

“11 Reasons Why You Will Never Succeed” By Gary Vurnum PART 10
Posted by: | CommentsREASON # 10 – You worry what your family and
friends would think about you if you read or listened
to self-development material.

I'm going to be one...a SUCCESS!
I was always embarrassed about reading self-development
books on the train into work.
That was until I realised who was still going to be on the
same train in five years time, and I knew it wasn’t going to
be me!
I still get raised eyebrows from my family, but I will be
the one who is smiling when I achieve what I know that I can
achieve. Only this evening…my sister laughed out loud when
I told her that my eBook was called “The Science of Success”
But…at least I am doing what I want to do.
I take my personal development seriously.
Others may ridicule you…or laugh behind your back…but
they will be the jealous ones when you reach your dream…
and they are still stuck in never-never land!
So the moral of the story is…
Do what you want to do with your life…and not what others
say you should do.
“11 Reasons Why You Will Never Succeed” By Gary Vurnum PART 6
Posted by: | CommentsREASON # 6 – You believe that you should enjoy
life whilst you can.

So you might get run over by a car tomorrow…but the
chances are you won’t.
Thanks to advances in healthcare, you could well be
retired longer than you worked for. Never let your
borrowings grow old with you; pay them off as soon as you
can.
What is the biggest cause of arguments between married
couples? Money.
What is the biggest cause of the poor getting poorer and
the rich getting richer? Abuse of money.
Have you noticed that the most addictive substances are
those that have to be replaced again and again?
- Alcohol
- Cigarettes
- Drugs
I would put money firmly in the same category. The
people who want more money the most…go out of their
way to dispose of it and get the thrill as quickly as
they can.
Rich and successful people look after their money.
They nurture it, so that it reproduces and grows. Poor
people waste it.
If you spent $3 every working day on a coffee instead
of putting the money towards paying off a credit card
…then you would be almost $6,500 worse off after 5
years!!!
Just for having a coffee!
I hope that these steps have helped you realise that
it’s the little things that make a difference!

Building success cartoon!
Posted by: | CommentsI did this cartoon years ago – before computers(It’s in watercolour!) for a company in the UK. They produced water meters and I made the word ‘Success’ up of drawings of actual meters. It was the illustrate the point:
“Quality is everyone’s business”
We all contribute to the success of our business.
We all can contribute to making it better.

Recently someone saw this cartoon on my Cartoon Studio web site and asked me to update/redraw it….

Building Success one brick at a time!
Here are a few quotes on ‘building success’….
“Every success is built on the ability to do better than good enough” – Unknown
“I think this team has done a good job, even when we were losing last year, of forgetting about the game before, … This team is really resilient. Right now, we’re just building on success.” – Jay Cutler
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. – Winston Churchill
