Dream + Hard Work = Success!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I had a client who wanted me to produce a design for a t-shirt. Dream + Hard Work = Success. I did this sketch and he liked it very much. The next stage would be to trace over this and then colour it up to complete. But he just disappeared off the face of the Earth! Thought I might as well make use of it. Might even do my own t-shirts!?

“Remember, success is not measured by heights attained but by obstacles overcome. We’re going to pass through many obstacles in our lives: good days, bad days. But the successful person will overcome those obstacles and constantly move forward.”

Bruce Jenner
Olympian, Speaker and Entrepreneur

Road blocks to success!?

Road blocks to success!?

I was scanning through one of Napolean Hill’s book over the weekend and this quote inspired me to draw this cartoon…

No man ever achieved worthwhile success who did not, at one time or other, find himself with at least one foot hanging well over the brink of failure. – Napoleon Hill

The Brink of Failure or the Brink of SUCCESS!?

The Brink of Failure or the Brink of SUCCESS!?

Here’s a couple more ‘failure’ quotes that I liked…

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.– Denis Waitley

One of the reasons mature people stop learning is that they become less and less willing to risk failure. – Author Unknown

We have learned that God’s call to service doesn’t always mean full-time work in missions or ministry; it just means full-time service to God wherever we are. Did I hear God’s call? Did I feel it? Is it in a still, small voice? Is it a dramatic event? Or is it just a feeling? I believe it can be all of the above.

I saw this image in my mind years ago…

God is calling me!

God is calling me!

That’s why I love to draw cartoons!

Cartoon – Do It Now!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Here’s another piece from the 100 Day Challenge I did last year…

Embrace a Do It Now Philosophy!
The people who make things happen in this world value and share a similar sense of urgency. It’s my great desire to ignite a flame under your behind today…

Sometimes you need a rocket up your ass!

Sometimes you need a rocket up your ass!

..one that compels you to step up, to raise the bar, and astound yourself.
You must keep in mind that throughout this 100 Day Challenge, no matter how intelligent or capable you may be, if you don’t have a sense of urgency. Now is the time to start developing it.
Creating a do it now attitude helps you to replace question marks with exclamation marks!
* The unwritten letter? Write it today!
* The old friend you’ve been meaning to reconnect with? Get connected today!
* The apology that is long overdue? Apologize today!
* The book you’ve talked about writing? Start writing today!
* The visit you’ve been intending to make? Make it today!
* The business you were going to start someday? Get started today!
* The race you were going to run? Start running today!
* The daily exercise you were going to do? Start exercising today!
* The language you were going to learn? Start learning today!
* The musical instrument you’ve always wanted to play? Start playing today!
* The resolution to give back to the community? Begin giving back today!
* The person with whom you’ve been meaning to share your faith? Share it today!
* The time you’ve promised to spend with your children? Spend it with them today!
* The broken relationship you’ve wanted to restore? Work at it today!
* The decision to confront your fears and dump all of those excuses? Do it today!

F is for Failure!

F is for Failure!

Here’s cartoon No.6 in my series of A- Z of Positive Thinking along with a few ‘failure’ quote….

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. Colin Powell

Life’s real failure is when you do not realize how close you were to success when you gave up.” Author – not sure!

Success builds character, failure reveals it Dave Checkett

I didn’t fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong Benjamin Franklin

Road to Confidence!

Having been skeptical about trying out a new company especially from the internet without any recommendations, I can honestly say. Richard Duszczak of Cartoon Studio Ltd’s work is amazing, his turn around time was exceptionally fast, and any requests for amendments were literally carried out in minutes.

I definitely will work with Cartoon Studio Ltd again, I am always keen to work with professional people, particularly those who are passionate about their work, provide an excellent level of professionalism and are exceptionally skilled at their work.

So, as you can see I’m always happy to work with you on your business ideas.

End of shameless plug!

Cartoon – STOMP THOSE ANTS!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

STOMP THOSE ANTS!

Psychiatrist Daniel G. Amen has named the limiting thoughts we hear in our
head ANTs – Automatic Negative Thoughts. And just like real ants at a picnic, your ANTS can ruin your experience of life. Dr.Amen recommends that you learn to STOMP the ANTs. First you have to become aware of them; next you have to shake them off and stomp them by challenging them. Finally you have to replace them with more positive and affirming thoughts!

Stomps those ANTS!

Stomps those ANTS!

So, STOMP your ANTs before it’s too late!

Taken from a book by Jack Canfield – The Success Principles, how to get from where you are to where you want to be!

Here’s another piece I loved from Mike Litman’s blog…

Every level of income demands a different you.

Each level of income demands different habits and actions.
The key is to start, grow, persevere, and become MORE.
***Every level of income demands a different you.

Life is a continuous growing process!

Life is a continuous growing process!

Who do you need to be to make the MONEY and LIFE you desire?
Remember, you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going.
Get going. Make your goals smaller and bring greater momentum into your life.
Celebrate your small victories.
You can DO IT. You can.
I believe in you. Now, believe in yourSELF.
